From its beginning Mack had supplied trucks for fire engines. In 1956 Mack purchased C.D. Beck of Sidney Ohio. Beck had been building Ahrens-Fox fire trucks from 1953, firstly on contract and later as owner.

I recall a magnificent B model fire truck outside a Brisbane fire station in 1960, as I remember it was similar to the photo of this 1956 B125 pumper. |
